SUEZ India wins Gender Balance Award

SUEZ India has won a Grand Prize in Best actions to boost women's careers category in the Gender Balance Award organized by our Group. This was the first edition of the Gender Balance Awards.

In early 2020, the Group had called for application for gender equality based projects in four categories: Best actions to boost women's careers, Women in operational activities, Managerial culture, and Women in digital. The objective of the award was to recognize and value local best practices, share them worldwide, encourage the development of concrete actions, and reward best practices to achieve gender balance.

More than 15 countries participated in the contest and 50 projects were submitted.

The award was given for SUEZ India's exceptional initiatives in promoting gender diversity by creating AMI - a dedicated forum for women employees to connect, express, and evolve. Launched in July 2019, AMI has been able to offer more than 70 women talent spread across 15+ locations a single platform to deliberate topics like career enhancement, gender balance, diversity, wellbeing, work-life balance, and a lot more.

AMI has been actively organizing monthly wellness camps, remote health support applications, health services manuals, and dedicated workshops to compliment women's health and make them understand and manage their wellbeing. Several webinars and seminars were organized to sensitize women to have a better work-life balance, stress management, and manage their work as mothers. Training sessions and workshops are held for self-defense and POSH awareness. Frequent interactions with the senior leadership team organized to motivate the women employees.
